Head Start

Head Start Program

Our full-day Head Start classes provide a comprehensive preschool program in which children learn social, problem solving, and pre-kindergarten skills.  The curriculum is tailored to meet the educational goals of each child.  Parents/guardians, teachers, and our onsite family advocate work together to set school readiness goals and discuss other services that relate to the family’s needs.

In addition to the Head Start curriculum children will receive nutritious hot meals, in home parent/teacher conferences, plus health and developmental screenings.  Parent’s may receive assistance with employment and training, parenting skills, leadership development, and social services.  Head Start believes that offering support and assistance to families helps empower them with personal growth and accomplishment.  At Learning Land we support this belief by offering quarterly family events and a yearly center wide event as well as access to our onsite family advocate.
